• Current Events (Everyone’s Favorite)

     

    1.    CE’s must have the following information:

    -        Pennsylvania news (One paragraph minimum)

    -        National or international news ( One paragraph minimum)

    -        Specific sources and dates for each article

    -        (Honors Only)Opinion paragraph for one article

     

    2.    Guidelines:

    -  Current = Friday to Friday unless otherwise stated

    -  Summarize information in paragraph form

              -  Use the following words to gather information:

    -Who,What, When, Where, Why

              -  Only 1 sports related article per week

              -  NO CHEAPOS

              -  No hearsay or first person sources

              -  Cannot use Arcola news journal as a source

              -  Use articles that are interesting to you!!!!!!!!!!

     

    3.    Usable Sources:

    -        Newspapers andmagazines from current week

    -        Radio and TV news

    -        Internet sites

     

    4.    Grading (15points)

    -        “Check Plus” =Perfect or 1 error  (15/15)

    -        “Check” =  2-3 errors (12/15)

    -        “Check Minus” =4-5 errors  (10/15)

    -        “No Credit” = 6errors or more  (0/15)
