Methacton School District and the Montgomery County Community College have partnered to offer dual enrollment classes here at the high school. The Dual Enrollment courses are an excellent opportunity to experience the rigors of a college level class while still in high school. These courses are also a tremendous bargain as compared to other schools that many of our students ultimately attend There are fees that are associated with these classes that are outlined on pages 74-76 of the Program Planning Guide. The current tuition rate for DE courses is $191.00 per credit, and each summer the tuition fees are raised a few dollars by the board of the Montgomery County Community College. There is also a fee associated with the textbook that the student and family are responsible for. The fees can range anywhere from $50.00 to $205.00, depending on the course, whether the textbook is new, used or rented or if there is an on-line textbook utilized. The textbooks can be purchased from the Community College’s bookstore and further information can be obtained about purchasing them by contacting the bookstore at 215-641-6600.
