Property Tax Rebate Program
On May 24, 2022, the Methacton School Board voted to approve Resolution 22-02. This resolution provides tax relief for qualifying individuals based on Chapter 13 (Senior Citizens Property Tax and Rent Rebate Assistance) of the Taxpayer Relief Act, Act 1 of Special Session 2006, 53 P.S. §6926.1301, et seq.Who is eligible?
A person who files a claim for property tax rebate or rent rebate in lieu of property taxes under the Act and, during the calendar year,- was at least sixty-five (65) years of age, or whose spouse (if a member of the household) was at least sixty-five (65) years of age,
- was a widow or widower and was at least fifty (50) years of age, or
- was a permanently disabled person eighteen (18) years of age or older.
How do I apply for the rebate?
Individuals must complete and be approved for the Pennsylvania State Rebate Program (APPLY). Once you have been approved under the state program, please complete the Methacton School District application (MSD APPLY) and mail it to:Methacton School District
