• WHO IS MR. HALEY?

I would like to take this time to introduce myself as your child’s Science teacher.  My degree, Elementary Education, was earned from Bloomsburg University.  After graduation I taught fifth grade at Woodland Elementary, in the Methacton School District.  Twenty four years ago, I decided to change schools and teach sixth grade at Arcola Intermediate School. This will be the start of my 25th year in the district.  I am beginning my 10th year as a 7th grade teacher and working with Team Avalanche.  I am looking forward to this year and hope the students are ready for Life Science; a study of living things and how they interact with one another.  In addition to teaching, I am the Yearbook Advisor.  I have coached soccer, football, and wrestling at Methacton.  I still enjoy coaching wrestling outside the district.

Parents, you are a very important part in your child’s educational experience; therefore, I want to extend a warm welcome to you as well. If any questions should arise or you just want to talk with me about your son/daughter, please don’t hesitate to call me at the school (610) 489-5000 ext 32262.  You can also email me at Ahaley@methacton.org.

I look forward to meeting you and working with your child.  I hope this first year at the Intermediate School will be a success for all of us.

    Sincerely,

    Anthony J. Haley
