• Speech and Language Services

A wide range of services are offered in our district including: informal screenings, speech and language evaluations, consultations, individual treatment, group sessions and classroom lessons. Children who experience difficulties in the areas of articulation (speech sound production), language (vocabulary, grammar, interpersonal communication), voice, or fluency may be eligible for a combination of these services. Students may be referred for speech and language screenings by classroom teachers, parents, school psychologists or the Instructional Support Team. If further formal assessment is recommended based on screening results, written parental permission is obtained prior to formal assessment. When treatment services are indicated, an Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) is developed with parent and teacher input.
