• Magic of ReadingREADING

    Dear Parents & Guardians:

Welcome to the team of the Constellations and the magical world of reading!  This year will be filled with fun and adventures since we will be reading stories and books from all of the different genres.  There will be plays performed, poems written, and dramatic interpretations of stories written.

At the beginning of the year, it is very important to have your child read two choices from the summer reading list.  (Grade 6By the second week of school your child will be taking a test on each of the books read.  Please be sure that your child has read the books thoroughly and then should review each book again at the beginning of September.

I am excited to be working with your child this year.  It is my hope to increase your child's desire to read whether your child is already a great reader or one that prefers to do anything else but read!  We are going to have a lot of fun in class and hopefully that will inspire your child to be successful.

There are links that are important for you and your child to have.  One is for the textbook we will be using and another if for a site called, "thinkcentral."  Please refer to them as often as you need.
