Welcome to Seventh Grade Reading at Arcola!
This year you will be challenged to read, think, talk and write well about books you choose, as well as some new texts that you'll be reading in class. The goal of reading class is to come together as a community of readers in order to grow and explore new ideas about our books, our lives, and the world. In addition, 21st century demands require that we work efficiently and quickly. You will learn how to quickly arrive at not one, but many ideas connected to what you read. You will also learn to speak and write about these ideas with clarity and depth.I love reading all types of books and catching myself lost in a good story. I hope that you too will find a love for reading this school year!
