    Materials Needed:


    • Pencil

    • Calculator

    • Classroom Binder: It is your responsibility to keep your binder neat and organized. All of you classwork grades come from your binder


    Grading:


    • Tests 30% - end of each chapter exam. One or two per marking period

    • Quizzes 25% - several quizzes throughout each chapter to assess understanding

    • Classwork 25% - daily work; including binder organization; warm-ups

    • Participation/Behavior 20% - you will earn three points daily


     


    Responsibility:


    • It is your responsibility to be on time to class.  Three unexcused lateness will result in a detention.  In addition, being late to class automatically causes you to lose a participation point for the day.

    • All rules stated in the Methacton Student Handbook will be enforced in this class.  

    • You are allowed to have a small snack and/or a bottle of water. However, if this becomes too messy or too much of a distraction, this privilege will be taken away for all students in the class.

    • Behavior which is deemed offensive and a distraction is not accepted and will result in a detention, phone call/ e-mail home, and/or an office visit.

    • To leave the room you either have to sign the book and take the pass, or get a written hall pass.

    • No cell phones during instruction or working time. If you are using your phone, and it becomes a distraction, you will receive an automatic detention.

    • No cell phones may be used as a calculator during quizzes/tests

    • No hats on in the classroom

    • No ear buds in ears during instruction
