The Skyview Rehearsal Assistants service project sponsored by the MHS Tri-M Music Honor Society has become an integral part of the Skyview Music Program for our rehearsals since 2012. The assistants provide critical support that helps rehearsals run smoothly and effectively.  With the number of students in the Skyview Music Ensembles (for example:  5th grade band is 130+ students), the rehearsal assistants help with everything from unpacking of instruments, tuning, minor repairs, crowd and noise control, to handing out music.  I enjoy the support of the rehearsal assistants not only for their helpfulness, but more importantly for their ability to model proper rehearsal technique.  Our Skyview students LOVE having the high school at rehearsal as their older friends and mentors. Having assistants there inspires the young students to play their instruments better each day!
