Ms. Bratt:a glimpse into my life...Ever since I was a little girl, I dreamed of becoming a teacher. I started my pathway to education by graduating with a duel bachelor's degree in Elementary and Special Education from the University of Hartford. I then had the invaluable experience to work as a building substitute for the North Penn School District for 2 1/2 years. I made the switch to Methacton School District as a long term substitute in learning support (December 2011). In August 2012, I was hired to become an Itinerant Emotional Support Teacher for both Arrowhead Elementary School and Audubon Elementary School. In this role, I facilitate social groups throughout the various school environments helping students to create a positive school experience. These groups focus on friendship, social skills, and overall social/emotional learning. My goal for my students is to become more confident with themselves which then will lead them to successfully relating to their peers and teachers in an appropriate manner.I come from a long line of educators! I have one aunt that was a principal, another a middle school math teacher, and my third aunt an art teacher. My sister is also a kindergarten teacher! Besides teaching, I have other interests which include reading, seeing (and singing to) Broadway shows, crafting, and spending time with my family and friends.I am very excited to work with your student throughout the school year! Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you might have.
