• Behavior Management–Individual System

Each studentcomes to school ready to learn.  Ourclass behavior chart features seven management choices (Outstanding, Great Job,Good Day, Ready to Learn, Think About It, Teacher’s Choice, Parent Contact).  The students will move throughout the day tothe appropriate section as the need arises. At the end of the day each studentreceives a behavior slip that they will fill out and bring home.  They need to return the slip the followingday with their parent’s signature.

    BehaviorManagement-Group System

    *Marbles*

Asa group the students are working towards a large reward, i.e. movie, game day, pajama day.  They need to fill the glassvase with marbles which is located on my desk. The marbles are inside the clear container that is next to the glass vase.  When the children are caught being good theywill earn marbles accordingly.  This is onlya group incentive I do not give marbles for one child’s actions it has to bethe group.  They can receive up to 5marbles at one time.

    SchoolWide Theme-Shining STARS

Our school theme this year is Shining STARS.  To encourage the theme I have given eachtable group a letter from the word STARS. If a table is showing behaviors of a successful learner they will earn aletter from the words Shining STARS to add to their group letter.  The group that completely spells out thetheme will have lunch in the classroom with the teacher.  The groups will be shuffled once a group hassuccessfully spelled out the theme.  Theletters are located on the closet behind my desk.
