This year we will continue to work with our ABA based curriculum called TEACHTOWN which targets the five domains of learning including cognitive, social & emotional, interpersonal skills, communication and academic skills language arts and mathematics.) This has been a very effective method of being able to target specific and individualized needs for each student working on targeted skills in all area's of the learning domains. It is a comprehensive system of introducing, practicing, obtaining and retaining the learned information with detailed data collection that allows for continuous progress monitoring of each student based solely on their individualized level. The program is designed to target skills such as Receptive and Expressive language, Echoic communication, Intraverbal communication, as well as Manding (requests) within our language skills. Differentiation and use of skill cross settings and retention of learned information is the big outcome of this type of training which allows the students to use the learned skills in their daily settings and allow for more independent knowledge to carry over for life skills.
