Science - Grade 6
The course of study in sixth grade science is designed to help each student: (1) develop an understanding of scientific facts, principles, theories, and laws; (2) apply this knowledge to our ever-changing world; and (3) develop his/her potential. Units of study will include: the Scientific Process, Metric Measurement, the Earth's Waters, Earth Science (a study of the stars at the Mallon Planetarium), Motion Forces and Energy, Weather, and Chemical Building Blocks.
Skyview students will have access to three science lab areas, as well as the Mallon Planetarium, for appropriate standards-based lessons.
