This year you will be discovering and developing an appreciation for different types of literature.  You will be listening to stories or reading them on your on. Afterward you will be writing and speaking about what have heard or read.  There will be opportunities to learn from and to share with your classmates. Enriching your vocabulary will allow you to speak with greater clarity, read with a higher level of comprehension and to express in writing thoughtful ideas, analysis, feelings and facts. Grammar will be reviewed to help you write with confidence and surety. I am looking forward to working with you.
