September 2016
Dear Parents and Guardians:
I am so excited to have joined the Woodland Family this summer. I want to thank everyone in the Woodland community who has stopped in to say hello and introduce themselves. We are keeping the same theme as last year “Wild About Woodland” and each grade level will have an animal theme to reflect their interests and goals.
September is a great time to connect with Woodland’s Home and School Association. Please take a moment to visit the Home and School tabs on our web page. These will provide you with ways to become involved as well as a calendar of special school events. Information will be posted regularly on Woodland’s web page so please utilize this during the school year.
Having open communication is one of the best ways to ensure a successful school year for your child. I encourage you to reach out to your child’s teacher whenever you have concerns. The staff of Woodland is compassionate, supportive and will be happy to address any issue regarding your child. Our goal is to establish the best learning environment for the students of Woodland Elementary School.
Methacton School District has a district-wide electronic elementary handbook. This addendum includes information specifically pertaining to Woodland. Please take time to read through both documents for things may have changed since last year. If you have any questions about the day-to-day operations, the handbook is a great place to look. You may also contact the office at 610-489-5000, ext. 43200.
Elementary school is a place for growth: emotionally, physically, and socially. The staff and support staff of Woodland are committed to providing the safest, most positive learning environment for your child. We will foster respect, responsibility, achievement, and creativity in a developmentally appropriate way. Our goal is to have our entire school community “Wild About Woodland,” especially our students!
I am looking forward to a great year!
Very Truly Yours,
Mrs. Debra Euker, Principal
