Monica Tarlecki610-489-5000 Ext. 26118Herzlich Willkommen! Ich heiße Frau Tarlecki!Welcome to German Class. My name is Monica Tarlecki and I am excited about the new challenge of teaching German at all levels at the high school.
I taught German and history at Arcola for 14 years before coming to the high school and I am hoping to do more global activities at the high school level.
In my personal life I enjoy spending time with my wonderful family and traveling with my husband. I also volunteer in my comunity as an Emergency Medical Technician for the Volunteer Medical Service Corps of Lansdale and the North Penn Volunteer Fire Company.
The three summers I have had the opportunity to be a leader with the People to People program. This give 35-45 students and myself the opportunity to be ambassadors to eight European countries. Yes, Germany was one of them! Last summer a group of German students and I enjoyed a 10 day trip to the German speaking countries of Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Lichtenstein.PROFESSIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS:Ursinus College: Bachelor of Arts in German and EducationSchiller University in Heidelberg, Germany: Junior year abroad programGwynedd-Mercy College: State certification in Social StudiesCabrini College: Master of Arts in Education.PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATIONSMCATFL: Montgomery County Teachers of Foreign LanguageAATG: American Association of Teachers of GermanAny questions or concerns, please contact me at mtarlecki@methacton.org
