Proposed Final Budget Notice
NOTICE is hereby given that the Proposed Final Budget for the General Fund of the Methacton School District for the 2020-2021 fiscal year in its most recent form is available for public inspection at the Farina Education Center, 1001 Kriebel Mill Road, Eagleville, Pennsylvania, and will be presented for adoption as a Final Budget at a school board meeting to be held virtually at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 23, 2020. To view in person, schedule a time with Mr. Bricker at tbricker@methacton.org by no later than the day before you wish to review the resources. Time will be scheduled in 30 minute increments. Additionally, the documents posted on the Methacton School District website at www.methacton.org. This notice is provided in accordance with Act 1 of 2006, as amended, the Pennsylvania Public School Code, 24 P.S. § 1-101, et. seq. and the Pennsylvania Sunshine Act, 65 Pa.C.S. § 701, et. seq.
2020-2021 Proposed Final Budget
NOTICE is hereby given that the Proposed Preliminary Budget of the Methacton School District for the 2020-21 fiscal year is available for public inspection at www.methacton.org and the School District Administration Office during normal business hours. Adoption of the Proposed Preliminary Budget will be held at a school board meeting at the High School LGI room at
7:00 PM on January 21, 2020.
Pursuant to Act 1, the PDE publishes an index % applicable to the School District. The school real estate tax increase for the next fiscal year is limited to the index % unless the proposed tax rate is approved by the voters pursuant to a referendum or the District qualifies for an Act 1 exception. As a result of special circumstances covered by Act 1 referendum exception, the tax rate % increase above the index is required to balance the District budget for the next fiscal year.
Methacton School District intends to seek approval from the PDE as required by Act 1 for exceptions allowing increase of the real estate tax as reflected in the proposed preliminary budget. Posted by ACK_01/08/2020

During the January 07, 2020 Special Meeting of the Board of School Directors, Superintendent Dr. David Zerbe and Methacton's Director of Business Services, Mr. Tim Bricker delivered the draft proposed preliminary budget presentation to the Board.
