Hello! My name is Rob Howard and I am the school counselor for students with the last names ranging from Pe-Sr. I grew up in State College, Pennsylvania and I am a big Penn State Nittany Lions fan. We are! I earned my bachelor's degree in Sociology from Penn State University in 2010. After I completed my undergraduate degree, I enrolled at West Chester University and received my Masters of Education in School Counseling in 2013. In addition, I was a behavior specialist for the Chester County Intermediate Unit.  I have worked in the district since August of 2015. I spent my first three years as a school counselor at Skyview Upper Elementary. This will be my first year at the high school and am excited to get to know my group of students and help them in any way that I can. I have a great passion for helping students succeed and helping them through any difficulties or trials in their lives. I know it was very helpful to have adults in my life who were there for me through my high school years and it is an honor to be able to do the same now.

In my spare time, I enjoy playing sports, watching movies, traveling, playing the guitar, reading and being active in my church among many other things. I am always interested in what students have going on outside of school and hope to support them in any way I can.

I am available daily from 7:30 AM-3:00 PM.  I can be reached at 610-489-5000 ext. 25031 or rhoward@methacton.org. Do not hesitate to be in touch. To make an appointment, students can stop into the counseling office and schedule a time to see me.
