Hi, I'm Mr. Peck. I have been a school counselor in Methacton since September 1996 at Arcola and moved to the high school in 2012. While I have not been a counselor for all of my career life, my focus has always been working with and helping people. I grew up in Delaware County, PA and graduated from Nether Providence High School (currently Strath Haven H.S.) in the Wallingford-Swarthmore School District. My undergraduate work was completed at both the University of Delaware and West Chester University majoring in Criminal Justice. I initially wanted to pursue a career in law enforcement where I would be able to work with and assist people. For several years I worked at Strawbridge's and Clothier in Loss Prevention(security) as a store detective, Assistant Loss Prevention Manager and Loss Prevention Manager. I went back to school to obtain my Masters in Educational Counseling from West Chester University and then worked for Montgomery County as a youth and family advocate at the Youth Center and also as a Juvenile Probation Officer. After working as a long-term substitute counselor at Kennett High School, I was hired as a counselor at Arcola in 1996. I have two awesome sons: Connor, a sophomore at Spring-Ford High School, and Kiernan a 6th grader in Spring-Ford. Outside of school I enjoy fishing, camping and backpacking and a variety of sports with my boys.
I currently work with students whose last name begins with A to Co. if you need to contact me I can be reached by phone at (610) 489-5000 ext 25032 or email wpeck@methacton.org .
