I am very happy to update our community on the process regarding the addition of lights to our athletic fields renovation project.

At a special meeting of the Methacton Board of School Directors held Monday, October 12th, the Board voted to approve a settlement agreement with the Township of Worcester and a group of neighbors.

The Worcester Township Board of Supervisors at their meeting on October 13th approved the agreement, and I am equally pleased to report that we have received a document signed by the entirety of the neighbor group today, October 19, 2015, confirming that all parties have now approved the agreement.

This settlement agreement will allow us to finally move forward with the installation of lights on our football and auxiliary fields, and in a safe and responsible manner. We regret the length of time and cost in taxpayer dollars that this process has taken, but the Board and the Administration have remained committed to ensuring the safety of our students and athletes.
